Networking isn’t about who is in the room, it's about...
When you hear the word “networking,” what comes to mind?
Hello friends!
When you hear the word “networking,” what comes to mind?
For many people, they think networking is going to an event, pitching your business to anyone who will listen, then waiting for leads to roll in.
Unfortunately, that is one of the biggest misconceptions about networking.
👉 Networking isn’t about who is in the room—it’s about who they know.
Think about it.
Realistically, there’s a very small chance that you’re going to find your customer at that event with money in hand and ready to buy.
BUT, there’s a very high chance that someone at the event either knows a person you should talk to or is willing to share your insights to the people they know.
Just imagine if they shared your thought leadership in their newsletter.
That’s why networking isn’t about who is in the room—it’s about who they know.
So if you make this tiny shift in your approach to networking, you’re going to find yourself with much better results than just pitching to anyone who will listen.
