And, <strong>only 7% of those executives said they'd schedule a follow-up.</strong><em><strong> </strong></em>(Forrester Research)</code></pre><p>Yikes.</p><p>And if that sales call was from a Could be a Before-vs-After chart like Guillermo&#8217;s or a value-prop statement like mine.</p><p>Note, even though it says the image should be 600x600, your image does NOT have to be that size. </p><p>Mine is 1080x180, which is perfect for a value-prop statement. You two seem like a perfect match as referral partners.</p><p>But then, nothing. <strong>You don&#8217;t get any intro&#8217;s. </strong>Just crickets. &#129431;</p><p>Ever experience this?</p><div class="pullquote"><p>&#128073; This is why <strong>your networking strategy cannot be solely dependent on getting introductions</strong>. This is where most people make their mistake.  </p></li></ul><p>They usually only ask for 2 things from referral partners:</p><ul><li><p>1) Exchange names or intro&#8217;s</p></li><li><p>2) Recommend groups to visit</p></li></ul><p>Which means, <strong>they&#8217;re missing out on these opportunities</strong>:</p><ul><li><p>3) Cross-promote each other&#8217;s newsletters</p></li><li><p>4) Cross-promote each other&#8217;s events</p></li><li><p>5) Collab in a virtual webinar</p></li><li><p>6) Collab in an in-person event</p></li></ul><p>So for your next meet-and-greet with a referral partner, make you present ALL the options.</p><p>This is how you make sure you always walk-away from the meeting with opportunities&#8212;even if they don&#8217;t give you an intro.</p><div Are they focused on connecting or just selling?</p></li><li><p>It opens the door to deeper conversation, because you can follow up with if they&#8217;ve met the right people yet.
